KEVIN NOLAN has reassured supporters that Wanderers have the team-spirit to get themselves back on track and shoot up the Barclays Premier League table.

The captain also insisted that the dressing room is united and resolute as they bid to put their poor early season form behind them.

Joleon Lescott's last-minute header on Saturday consigned Wanderers to their fourth defeat in their opening five games of the campaign - their worst top-flight start in 44 years.

And Nolan believes that his colleagues have the wherewithal to get out of their current plight.

He said: "I know we are strong enough to withstand what has gone on over the last few weeks.

"I know that there's no group of lads I would rather be with in that dressing room to get us out of the position we are in.

"We've just got to make sure that we stick together, in-house. We can't let outside influences affect us because, once that starts happening, there's only one way, and that's down."
