AFTER SUCCESSFULLY becoming both local and regional champions in the Premier League Under 11s Tournament, St Peter's Smithills Dean CE Primary School went to the Madejski Stadium, home of Reading FC to compete in the National Finals.

 On May 19, the team faced tough opposition from primary schools representing Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham and Reading.

The lads competed fantastically throughout the day but unfortunately a stuttering start hampered chances of getting to the final.

That aside the lads finished fourth on the day, which was fantastic, especially when you take into consideration that around 500 schools entered the tournament at the local stages across the country.

 Everyone at Bolton Wanderers Football in the Community, and Bolton Wanderers Football Club would like to congratulate the school team on their achievements this season. WELL DONE!
