Fans Praised By Manager and Skipper
GARY MEGSON and Kevin Nolan heaped praise on the Bolton Wanderers faithful following Sunday's season finale at Stamford Bridge.
Over 3,000 Wanderers supporters - many of whom had taken advantage of the Club's free travel offer which saw 41 coaches depart the Reebok Stadium at 8:00am - travelled to London to cheer the Super Whites on to a draw against high-fliers Chelsea.
The Wanderers boss said: "To take such a following down to London shows how strong the support is for the club. Home and away, the supporters have had a big impact on the players and now we can look forward to next season."
The Club had also previously laid on complimentary travel for the away games at Tottenham Hotspur, Middlesbrough and Wigan, and captain Nolan believes the support of the Wanderers fans has made a positive impact in recent weeks.
"The fans were absolutely fantastic today," said Nolan.
"They were in full voice and the fact we took so many with us was a great boost to everybody on the pitch. It was great that the club provided the free travel for the games against Spurs and Middlesbrough and the fans played their part."
