Duo Offered New Deals
GARY MEGSON is hoping to persuade long serving duo Jussi Jaaskelainen and Ricardo Gardner to sign new deals.
The pair will both be out of contract in July and the Wanderers boss is determined to keep them at the Reebok Stadium. Negotiations between the Club and the players and their representatives are currently taking place.
However, Ivan Campo, Stelios and Andranik will not be offered new contracts, leaving them free to move elsewhere.
Jaaskelainen has been with Wanderers since 1997 and is the current longest serving player in the squad, while Jamaican international Gardner came to the Reebok Stadium shortly after helping his country perform in the 1998 World Cup in France.
Megson said: "Jussi and Ricardo have both been excellent servants and are still very much part of my future plans for this football club. Hopefully, we can get them secured on new deals as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, the manager thanked the players who are leaving the Club and wished them well for the future.
He added: "Ivan, Stelios and Andranik have all done well for Bolton Wanderers and I'd like to express my gratitude to them. It's time for them to move on and I wish them all the best."
Mark Ellis, Johann Smith and Les Thompson have all enjoyed loan spells with league clubs recently having come up through the ranks of the Bolton Wanderers Academy.
