GARY MEGSON today thanked Archie Knox for his great contribution to Bolton Wanderers, as it was confirmed that Archie has joined Blackburn Rovers as first team coach.

Archie left the club as part of the manager's restructure and re-organisation of his backroom team.

Gary Megson said: "Archie is a great guy and a proven coach and I really enjoyed working with him. I wish him well in his new role at Blackburn.

"He left the club for no other reason than my wish to reorganise the coaching aspect of the club and bring my own people in."

Chairman Phil Gartside added: "I'd like to thank Archie for all his hard work and 100% commitment to Bolton Wanderers last season."

Further changes of personnel have taken place in the club's medical and fitness departments. The new staff will be presented on www.bwfc.co.uk over the next few weeks.

Gary Megson added: "I'd like to take the opportunity to thank those who have moved on for their efforts and wish them all the very best for the future."
