It was another disappointing night for the reserves, despite a very promising first half performance against Wigan.

Bolton took the lead through a Temitope Obadeyi penalty after good work from Leslie Thompson who had fed a ball through to Johann Smith who was then brought down in the box.

The Wanderers created a lot of chances but were unable to supply the killer finish and went into the break one nil up.

In the second half they were undone by some fine work by Latics winger Rachid Bouaouzan who had a hand in both Wigan goals.

The equaliser was netted by Tomas Kupiz after Bouaouzan cut the Wanderers defence apart with a strong run and then fed the ball on to Kupiz who finished the move curling it past keeper Bogdan.

Tomaz Cywka then made it two after a strong and determined run and you got the feeling that it wasn't going to be Bolton's night.

Some good goalkeeping from Bogdan denied Bouaouzan a goal, as the Bolton keeper was quick off his line to dive at the feet of the winger and smother the chance.
